FibrMet Abrasive Discs FibrMet® Abrasive Discs are formulated for fine grinding applications where diamond is not required. FibrMet products contain either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasive, resin-bonded to a uniform and durable 3 mil polyester backing. Their fine size distribution and superb abrasive characteristics make them the best choice for grinding epoxy beads, glass ferrules, and glass or polymer fibers. Buehler offers FibrMet Abrasive Discs in both pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) and plain backed versions, depending on diameter.
